Following the success of our 2024 photo competition, which saw a fantastic array of images capturing our parish, we’re pleased to announce that the competition is returning for 2026!
Last year we ran a photography competition and at the Annual Parish Meeting in May of that year the winning photographers were celebrated.
There were so many excellent photos that we decided to use more in a calendar to contribute to the fund raising for Willen Hospice.
We are inviting all residents with an interest in photography—whether you are a seasoned enthusiast or a casual smartphone snapper—to help us document what makes our parish a special place to live.
What are we looking for?
We want to see the parish through your eyes. Your entries might focus on the natural beauty of our green spaces and local wildlife, or perhaps the interesting architecture and landmarks that define our streets.
Photographs must be taken within the boundaries of the parish, which includes Crownhill, Grange Farm, Medbourne, Oakhill, Oxley Park, Shenley Church End, and Shenley Wood.
All photos must have been taken within the last 12 months.
Deadline: All entries must be received by Friday 20 March 2026.
Entries must be sent digitally via email to
clerk@shenleychurchend-pc.gov.uk with the email subject line ‘Photo competition’.
You must include the following with your entry:
A digital copy of the photograph in .jpeg format.
Your name and address.
Where and when the photo was taken.
Before entering, please review the full terms and conditions on our website to ensure your submission meets all requirements.
We look forward to seeing the parish from your perspective and sharing the winning highlights with the community later this year!
