For some time, the parish has supported Willen Hospice as our chosen charity, raising funds through donations at various different parish events. Following a recent meeting, it was agreed that the time is right to review this and give residents the opportunity to choose who we support next. Our councillors have nominated four charities to be considered for our next charity partner. Now we want you to have your say!
We are asking residents to vote for their top three choices from the shortlist below. Your votes will decide
how they are supported over the coming year.
The charity that receives the most votes will become our official ‘Charity of the Year’ from April 2027,
receiving the donations made at our coffee morning and other parish events and activities.
The remaining charities will receive a grant at the end of the financial year to support their ongoing work.

Thames Valley Air Ambulance
As a critical frontline emergency service, the Thames Valley Air Ambulance brings hospital level care directly to the scene of life-threatening incidents. Their expert crews of doctors and paramedics provide advanced medical treatment when every second counts, giving
patients across the region the best possible chance of survival and recovery. They are an independent charity and receive no regular government or NHS funding, relying solely on donations from generous supporters.
Willen Hospice
For over 40 years, Willen Hospice has provided compassionate, specialist end-of-life care for local adults with life-limiting illnesses. Their team ensures patients receive dignity and comfort, whether at the hospice itself or within the community, whilst offering crucial emotional and practical support to their families and carers.
MK Foodbank
MK Foodbank provides short-term crisis support and vital care for families and individuals across Milton Keynes facing financial hardship. Beyond providing emergency food parcels, their dedicated team operates community top-up shops and gives step-by-step guidance
to help residents move toward long-term independence and security.
MK Act
MK Act is a dedicated domestic abuse service that provides a lifeline to families every single day. They offer safe, temporary refuge, crisis intervention, and floating support to help adults and children escape fear, heal from trauma, and rebuild their lives safely. MK ACT has been helping people escape domestic violence for over 45 years and offers help to anyone aged 16 years and up within Milton Keynes.
