Graphic with title: Dog and waste bin updates
Unfortunately, dog and general waste bins across our parish and others in Milton Keynes have not been collected due to an unexpected incident last week.

A fire broke out at the Elstow Waste Transfer Station, the key facility responsible for processing waste for our waste management service. As a result, the station is currently out of operation, which means our waste collector has no waste disposal option available to them in the short term. This means that our dog waste bins cannot be emptied until an alternative waste disposal site can accept the waste.

We understand this may be frustrating, especially during the summer months when regular emptying is crucial. We are in close contact with our waste management services and Milton Keynes City Council who we are hoping will support the parishes and help provide a solution to restore service as soon as it is safe and practical to do so.

In the meantime, we ask all dog owners to take dog waste home with them and dispose of it via their household rubbish(Black bin) until collections resume. Please do not leave bags on or near the bins, as this creates health and environmental hazards for the whole community.

We will provide updates as soon as we receive more information.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this unexpected disruption.
